Information for Referring Practitioners

At Present Mind, we value strong, collaborative relationships with GPs, paediatricians, psychiatrists, and other allied health professionals. We aim to provide timely, evidence‑based psychological assessment and intervention for children, adolescents, and adults, and to ensure that referring practitioners remain informed and involved throughout the course of care.

Approach to Care

We offer individual therapy using evidence‑based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma‑informed approaches, and developmentally appropriate strategies aligned with best‑practice guidelines. Our Fees are available here ($200 for a standard session).

Our assessment services include cognitive, educational, developmental, and ADHD assessments, along with comprehensive diagnostic reports and recommendations to support school, medical, and allied‑health planning.

Referrals & Communication

We welcome referrals for clients under Medicare (Better Access), private funding, and other third‑party pathways.
Referrers can expect:

  • Confirmation once the referral has been received

  • Regular, clinically relevant updates

  • Clear and practical recommendations

  • A collaborative approach to shared care
