Making space for a meaningful life
Fees
Present Mind aims to offer thoughtful, professional psychological care in a way that is transparent and respectful of the time involved.
-
Standard session (50–55 minutes): $200
After‑hours session (from 5:00pm): $225
-
Extended session (75 minutes): $290
Extended sessions are available for first appointments or at other times where additional space may be clinically helpful. These are offered by recommendation. -
From time to time, group therapy programs are offered to support individuals around shared experiences or areas of focus. Group therapy provides an opportunity to work therapeutically alongside others in a supportive, facilitated environment, while benefiting from shared reflection, learning, and connection.
For many people, group therapy can also be a helpful and cost‑effective way to continue accessing psychological support, particularly after individual sessions funded under a Mental Health Care Plan have been used. Working in a group setting can offer valuable perspective, reduce feelings of isolation, and support ongoing personal insight and skill‑development.
Groups are carefully structured and facilitated to ensure psychological safety, confidentiality, and respectful participation. Group therapy is not suitable for all presentations, and participation may involve an initial individual conversation to ensure the group is the right fit.
Fees

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 10 additional group therapy sessions per calendar year, separate from individual sessions. Eligibility and rebate details will be discussed with you prior to the group commencing where relevant.

Accessing Medicare Rebates
(GP Referrals)
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist. However, if you would like to access Medicare rebates, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
To obtain a Mental Health Care Plan:
Book a longer appointment with your GP.
Let them know you’d like a referral to see a psychologist.
Ask your GP to write the referral specifically to Present Mind Psychology – Tyler Lloyd.
Please send a copy of the referral to the practice prior to your first session, or bring it with you.
Under Medicare’s Better Access initiative, you may receive rebates for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year, with a review by your GP required after the first 6 sessions.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee, as this time is reserved specifically for you.
